I have a friend who has a terminally ill mother in hospital, unfortunately visiting is not allowed, her mother is frightened and needs her family to be able to visit her during these difficult times.

We all appreciate the pandemic has had a massive impact on people’s lives, but it is unfair that there is no visiting at hospitals, especially when there are football matches now allowed to let in fans of 30,000 plus with proof of vaccinations or negative tests, yet the sick and vulnerable are not allowed family to visit!

it is heartbreaking to see the fear and sadness in faces of loved ones who are not allowed in with their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, children, aunts, uncles, grandparents, it doesn’t matter what relation it is, we all need that reassurance to know our families are there for us.

The point of this petition is to allow people to be with their hospitalised family members on a regular basis, even more so in their hour of need, it helps knowing they have the fight in them and the strength to face whatever is coming at them, dealing with uncertainty head on, rather than being left to sit and wonder what is happening! Our NHS has been absolutely amazing during the pandemic, I can’t fault their determination in helping people survive, however, it shouldn’t be at the cost of other illnesses being shoved to one side and treatments taking longer, much much longer to get the attention they deserve! 

Please sign this petition so that loved ones can be with their family members at the most critical times they are needed, it’s not fair thousands are allowed to now go to events, concerts, football games but being allowed with family seems insignificant!
