UK Government must Condemn Trump's Actions
Why this petition matters
Our message is simple: the UK Government must condemn Trump's actions against US protesters.
In order to show solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement in the US and to show that our country will not stand for systemic racism and inequality, our Prime Minister must come forward to condemn the actions of President Trump on behalf of the UK public.
The UK public have made it clear that we do not support President Trump's decision to involve the military in dispersing protests, and we condemn the arrest of protesters, who are exercising their rights. It is essential that our Government leaders step forward and speak out on behalf of the public against police brutality and systemic racism.
We will not tolerate this blatant racism and thuggish brutality. It is time to speak out - it is time for the UK Government to speak for the people. If Prime Minister Boris Johnson does not step forward and condemn the actions of President Trump, he fails to support the Black Lives Matter movement in the US and the UK, and he fails the UK public.
Our Government is our voice, and our voice says this: we stand with Black Lives Matter and we condemn all forms of racism and discrimination. We will not sit back and allow police brutality and systemic discrimination on US streets or on our own.
