This is a very important necessity to ensure that the disabled are not prevented or dissuaded from travelling

Access to transport is a must for all who live in or near London. It is not right that the disabled, elderly and mums of babies can't travel to where they need to go.

Many older or unwell people need step-free access to public transport for daily life. Holidays also become impossible because of the problem, unlike in many European countries. It is shameful.

We need to aspire to an inclusive transport system, where no one is prevented for using London's public transport.

Unfortunately I'm waiting for a heart transplant. Walking any distance and stairs are a real challenge and severely restrict my use of public transport. This then reduces my independence.
