Today is the day for change....... 

Currently we have a system in place within the UK which is aimed at continuously making significant changes which will impact the generation. By this I am referring to individuals born between 1981 and 1996. Changes relating to vaccines, taxes, national insurance, pensions and housing. Will we see the day where we own our own home, or have the opportunity to access our pension?

Being an ethnic minority, as well as growing up and living in Hackney an area which is now 'gentrified', I am fearful that my children's children will be disadvantaged! With all the changes being introduced, and all the 'laws' which are mandatory, there has been limited consultations or engagement with those who will be most affected. US! Our parliamentary system, is not representative of those who these changes will most impact, nor does this take into account how these changes do not support us with overcoming issues effecting our communities such as the 'cycle of poverty, or breaking generational cycles'. From the moment, student finance fees rose, it placed upon us the burden of interest rates and I question, who did this really benefit? And don't even get me started about the injustice presented within our criminal justice system.

Let us come together, and let our voices be heard about all the changes we believe need to come.
