Thank the Nurses Properly

We will be relying heavily as a nation upon the dedication, knowledge, determination, professionalism, care and love of our nurses. Unfortunately In many cases they will be trying to save the lives of our loved ones whilst facing the grim reality that despite their very best efforts they will frequently be the last people to comfort our dying relatives.

We have all shown our appreciation with applause but we must do more, go further, demand that we as a nation truly show our support for these angels and heroes who work in our NHS.

The government has been pledging truly colossal amounts of money to support the economy announcing £350,000,000,000 of funding. The government has announced that those employees and self employed that cannot work during this pandemic will have 80% of their income paid by the state. Yet there has been no announcement of any increase in the salary of the nurses and healthcare professionals that will be working harder than ever throughout this unfolding disaster.

Your signature on this petition is your demand to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Education Secretary Gavin Williamson to thank our nurses properly, by announcing the following measures with immediate effect:

20% Pay rise for all Nurses.

Permanent Free Parking For All NHS staff at All hospital car parks.

Unlimited Free Meals For All Doctors and Nurses from the hospital canteens throughout this pandemic.

The write off of all student loans owed by any nurse or student nurse working in the NHS during this pandemic.
