Our NHS staff are facing a challenging time right now. They are always out saving lives but now they are doing so at great risk to themselves. Retail staff are out there every day making sure shops are open to make sure people can get their bread milk and other basic supplies. They are serving thousands of people every day often not knowing them, where they have been who they have been in contact with. And while we do put measures in place to protect ourselves we are still in the firing lines when it comes to our health. 

Our country has gone into lockdown and while non essential workers get to keep themselves at home in lockdown and relative safety we have to go out every day, with the government offering aid to these people and paying them 80% of their relative salaries. We are going out every day putting ourselves on the line risking our health along with everyone in our household.

The NHS needs to keep going and retail staff are vital for everyone to be able to eat, however I do fell key workers are getting the raw end of the deal. because we are doing this without any support to us for the UK government. My proposal is that during this crisis key workers should be compensated the the UK government in the form of tax relief. We deserve to be recognised the hard work that we are putting in to keep the country going during this crisis.
