Why this petition matters

Started by Debbie Boucher

If fireworks must continue to be made and sold to the public then it is about time that they are made without the noise  factor as this causes severe distress to not only dogs but other pets and all wildlife even to the point of causing animals to have heart attacks and dying in fear. There is not one specific event anymore they are going off all hours from October through to January and it is time something is done before more innocent animals come to harm and any more lives are upset with the stress they cause.  They are no longer the pleasure that they once were they are nothing but a noise abatement and causing damage to animals lives and people's property.

Every year the RSPCA receives hundreds of calls about the terrible effect fireworks are having on animals - not just dogs and cats, but other pets, livestock and wildlife but still nothing is done to change the situation instead each year more and more fireworks are sold with supermarkets and the like displaying signs 'fireworks half price or less' etc etc lining their pockets with not a care.

The more people you talk to lately they all say the same thing fireworks should be banned or at least only have organised licenced events away from residential areas but talk does nothing this is why I ask that you sign my petition and try with me to put an end to the unecessary suffering. Animals don't have a voice it is down to us to ask for help.
