Have no idea at all why the government would not do this.

As a student midwife working within my degree throughout the pandemic putting my family and myself at risk for free. Medical students are working with no life insurance, sick pay or compensation for the risks we are putting ourselves in. This is the least you can do.

Student nurses have enough to cope with, accumulating this sort of debt is crushing. Who wants to start their career with this sort of debt. Until the bursary is restored, the NHS will have thousands of nursing vacancies and go from crisis to crisis

I'm signing because I know people who are nurses or becoming nurses and it's clear that it's not fair to make nurses indebted.

Students work on the wards unpaid. Makes no sense having them pay there own fees and having all that debt after I'm in 2nd year and would love to hear debts being scrapped. I heard about the RCNs proposal of bringing in a loan forgiveness scheme for nurses who finish there 3 year course.. this would be great and such a relief for student nurses
