Petition update

Help needed - Mascots descend on Westminster!

BALPPA

Jul 15, 2020 —

Thank you for signing the #RescueIndoorPlay campaign petition, the support you have already shown for the industry is really appreciated. The petition has been signed by nearly 17,000 people but unfortunately more still needs to be done.

Over the last week we have seen more centres than ever announce that they won’t be opening their doors again.

The trade body representing British leisure parks, piers and attractions, BALPPA, has already published its report showing 64% of sites are likely to have to close by October if no further support is issued soon.

That’s why we’re asking for your help with one more thing.

BALPPA will tomorrow be holding a mascot meet at Westminster Green at 1pm to raise awareness of our industry’s lack of support.

If you are able to travel to London or are an operator or supplier into the indoor play sector, we would really appreciate it if you could support this initiative by joining us at 1pm.

Mascots are optional and if you are an operator or supplier, please feel free to wear your company uniform.

Let us know if you can come by contacting Janice Dunphy (BALPPA FEC Committee Chair) - janice@webadventurepark.co.uk or 07961125091.

If you can’t, don’t worry but please continue to share this petition as far and wide as possible.

Thank you once again for your support.
