The Red List mandatory hotel quarantine has been reinstated, forcing disruptions to travel plans, thousands of pounds already spent on travel and now travellers facing an additional cost in managed quarantine hotels. 

Many of us have gone ahead to be double and triple vaccinated with the hope of returning society to as normal as possible given the times we are in. This is a huge and devastating blow which will add thousands of pounds in additional mandatory hotel quarantine costs for residents returning from Red list countries.

We ask Boris Johnson, Sajid Javid and Grant Shapps to please re-consider this new rule prior to the Christmas Break. 

Downgrade Countries to amber list and impose compulsory pre-travel PCR tests close to returning back to the UK (72 or 48 hours), additional Day 2 and Day 8 tests and monitored quarantine at home for UK residents for a set number of days, regardless of vaccination status.

Safety is a priority for everyone so we are not asking to remove rules completely, but they should be fair and considerate to thousands of families that will be left out of pocket and face Christmas being ruined.

Please do not ruin Christmas for thousands of families by imposing managed quarantine hotel for UK residents that have been double and triple vaccinated.
