People who are going through bankruptcy in England and Wales are normally released (discharged) from their debts after 12 months. There are some exceptions.

I propose to reduce the the time people wait for their discharge from bankruptcy from 12 to 6 months.

I believe this proposal will benefit hundreds of thousands UK borrowers, self-employed and their families.
