Recently Chester Zoo was told to stay indefinitely shut, after months of making the zoo covid secure for visitors. The Government has now ORDERED the zoo to stay shut plunging it into uncertainty. They require £1.6m per month to look after the animals. They can make some of this revenue from members keeping up with their payments whilst the zoo is closed but will have to find other ways to survive. Chester Zoo has spent a lot of time and effort to become Covid secure, allowing them to open and get back to some form of normality at the beginning of July. This will bring in desperately need revenue to keep the zoo open. Having been a member for the past few years and a life long fan local to the zoo I think it's very unfair of the government to place a ban on them opening after all the time and money spent on getting secure for customers. They are as stated Covid secure. Why shouldn't they be allowed to open we can all be sensible enough and use common sense when visiting attractions like Chester Zoo. The government need to realise that the majority know how to social distance. If they had acted sooner and done more earlier on then this may not of been an issue now.
