I’m struggling to find the words if I’m honest. Women are victim blamed no matter what whether it’s what we wear, how we act, how we respond. Why didn’t she walk a different way? Why didn’t she get a taxi? Why didn’t she shout and scream? Why didn’t she fight him off? Why didn’t she say no? How about blame the monsters who are committing these crimes and raping and murdering women? Hold the actual perpetrator accountable. 

We shouldn’t have to consider our route home, fake call a friend, share our live location, hold our keys in our hands to use as a weapon, not wear ear phones so we can hear if anyone is approaching. But apparently according to Philip Allott who is a Police Commissioner, we should resist arrest and do some legal research about our rights? How about our right to be safe? 

How can Cressida Dick the Met Police Commissioner expect to even try and restore faith in the police force when her colleagues are spouting this victim blaming crap? Remember that Wayne Couzens previous colleagues referred to him as “The Rapist” and proper checks were not carried out when he got his job. 

Both Cressida Dick AND Philip Allott should resign.
