A Philpot started this petition to Boris Johnson (Prime Minister)

I have a physical disability and rely on an electric wheelchair to get me around, unfortunately my wheelchair has a limited amount of battery life, this is why I use public transport.  Using public transport like buses and trains helps me get out and about helps me to socialise with friends and family.

Here's the thing I don't understand, with my travel pass I get free bus travel throughout the UK and my companion also travels for free. So why is it that people with disabilities and their companion don't get free travel on trains? People with disabilities and their companion should travel free on trains, we don't take a seat space! I totally understand that other people have to pay for train travel, however the majority of people with disabilities don't have a choice other than to bring a companion adding to the cost. My train station is just down the road, it's accessible and there is nothing stopping me getting out there other than the worry of cost.
