Older expectant mothers should not be labelled Geriatric mothers

I believe becoming a mother at any age for many is a gift.
I had my son in my early 30’s and was quite offended to be labelled by the hospital as a ‘geriatric mother’.
was I too old to become a first time mother?
is there an age limit?
My hormones and emotions were already all over the place and this label made me feel negative.
I was told this was the correct wording but after discussing this with many mothers in the same age bracket and older the majority were also unsettled.
I find it degrading after a certain age to be labelled as a ‘geriatric mother’ and that this label is even used.
Many women now days due to life, financial or medical reasons are having children later and I don’t think we should be given this harsh label.
Having a baby is a life changing experience and now we are more in tune with mental health I feel this little change would be very beneficial.
A mature mother is sufficient wording.
