Emma Nutt started this petition to Boris Johnson (Prime Minister) and

I am a mother of two young daughters, I have seen and experienced the sorrow and heartbreak when someone close to you is suffering with a mental health problem or has taken their own life.

In this day and age that we are living in there is more and more people every day young and old that are suffering the daily torment of suffering with a mental health issue. Northern Ireland has one of the highest rates of suicide but yet we have no dedicated hospital to deal with this. If you break a bone or have a heart attack or a physical illness you can go to a+e and be treated that day, if you go to a+e suffering with a mental health condition ie depression, anxiety etc you are referred for treatment. Sometimes the treatment comes far too late. Just because you cant see the illness doesn't mean it's not as real and severe as a heart attack that needs immediate treatment.

I want northern ireland government and boris Johnson to fully fund mental health and to open a dedicated hospital in northern ireland, England, Wales and Scotland that is dedicated to helping people with mental health illnesses, a dedicated a+e that someone who is at their lowest point can seek help and get treated there and then, an outpatient and inpatient ward, dedicated doctor, nurses and consultants that are trained and specialise in mental health to give people the help they deserve.

JUST BECAUSE YOU CANT SEE THE PAIN DOESNT MEAN ITS NOT REAL.
