The UK Government has stated that they can't honour the commitment they made to increase NHS wages because of the impact of COVID-19.

Surely, considering that government ministers and MPs wages are vastly more in comparison to NHS staff, and they are the ones who have been on the frontline fighting this pandemic, the ministers and MP's could take a pay cut to enable the treasury to give a pay rise to those who have put their own lives on the line for our country?

I do not work for or have any connection with the NHS, but I feel strongly that they are getting a raw deal and the government should be held accountable and take a pay decrease to support our frontline staff.
