To stop Hull City Council to knock down youth centre for housing

To stop Hull City Council to knock down youth centre for housing
Why this petition matters
A major development site earmarked for up to 100 new homes near the city centre is being extended.
The five-acre site off Beverley Road includes the vandal-hit former Blundell Street board school and Brunswick House, the city council's former social services headquarters.
The council is
looking at the option of buying the privately-owned property under a compulsory purchase order
The decision notice says incorporating Brunswick Arcade within the area covered by the brief will "ensure the development of the whole site has regard for this important building".

Part of the terrace of shops and flats has been covered in scaffolding for five years after initial concerns about the internal stability of the building. Hoarding to screen the building was installed two years ago.
Brunswick House is being mothballed after a decision to relocate social services staff to offices near the Guilldhall.
