Too Many individuals that work alongside children have outdated views regarding ADHD. It is a recognised disability as it can severely impact children’s lives. Recently more adults are being diagnosed due to behaviours being put down to bad behaviour in early childhood at home and school.

Many children are written off and hindered from achieving their full potential due to uneducated individuals involved in their care.

something as simple as an extra element within teacher training or the medical field such as introducing guidance notes when handling behavioural issues in ADHD children could make the difference to many children and their reactions within school and medical environments.

Also early years practitioners, health visitors and nursery staff should all be trained in recognising attributes to ADHD and given guidance notes for appropriate handling of individuals cases.

Parents, guardians and Teachers that all have contact with ADHD diagnosed children must have appropriate training and support to help each child reach their full potential something as simple as a Diploma course offered by the New Skills Academy specialising in ADHD could be adapted into a handbook that could be distributed amongst anyone effected.

people need educating for the sake of these misunderstood children and now adults.

how much longer can this go on?
