I feel that leathers and more protective safty clothing should become legalised for motorcyclist because many motorist have some form of safty in a car. Eg a seat belt, a car has alot more pretection around a person with its metal shell and airbags. I feel that even though a motorbike has a helmet it is not fully protecting the person driving it. I've seen so many accidents and deaths regarding motor bikes and their owners and even though leathers are supposed to be worn allot of people DO NOT protect themselves properly. I feel families would benifit with knowing that their family members are safer out on the road with wearing the proper equipment in order to sustain their life, as well as the other victims involved in a collision or incident, witnesses can know that the proper protection was worn and that if something bad happens the law has them covered for protection of them selves and others. I've recently known somone who has passed away due to a motorcycle incident, however I feel that if the correct clothing had been worn they may have survived.

I feel this simple change could save lives and make the road a safer place for motorcyclists. Please support this petition as this simple change could save lots of lives, particularly over these festive (and slippery) months.
