Fireworks are nice to watch and are undoubtedly a big nod to part of UK history. 

However, over the years they have become more of a nuisance and a danger. People seem to have lost sight of what they are for and use it as an excuse to cause havoc. I have seen children throw them at each other in the street and set them off for a joke. 

Then there are the thousands of pets and wildlife that suffer during this period. The pain and suffering that pet owners see their animals go through is heartbreaking. Rabbits have died from fear, dogs fit, shake and dribble because they are terrified. This doesn't just go on for one night it's a week and at all hours of the night, there is no respite for the poor animals who fear the noise. 

I love fireworks but I believe they should be one night only and possibly only public displays, not on sale for general public.
