Australia is currently blocking citizens and permanent resident's from leaving the country. When the border closures came in to place in March 2020 it was assumed this meant incoming travellers only. Now while I disagree with Australia abandoning their overseas citizens (there is currently about 170 unaccompanied minors overseas!!!!!!) I don't understand why people aren't allowed to leave. 

People are not allowed to leave, people are suffering physically and emotionally with being disconnected from their families. Missing funerals, not being able to say goodbye to loved ones, new mothers isolated without the support of their families, children separated from parents. People wanting to leave Australia for good, getting their exemptions declined. All while MPs, the prime minister and movie stars being allowed in and out of the country freely. 

I start this petition knowing that it will not serve myself at this time due to my own situation but with the hope it will get the ball in motion so no one has to go through this pain of being separated from their loved ones! 

My daughter is growing up without her family and so am I!!!! Reunite families!
