Amanda Pinwell started this petition to Boris Johnson (Prime Minister) and

My name is Amanda.  In my previous marriage I suffered at the hands of a husband who was abusive in all areas and coercive controlled me. I suffered for 24yrs. I, like other victims male or female who suffer this kind of abuse, once they manage to escape don't always have the courage straight away to report their abuser because they are suffering ptsd or their too scared too. Eventually however, one day they do and are able to speak like me.

However we are told that even though we can report our abuser for Historical domestic abuse we Cannot however have them held to account for the Coercive control because anything Before 2015 cannot be tried or taken into account.

I would like this act to be removed or changed to allow victims to report and have their abusers tried for the coercive control.
