Many families that are still having to shield from Covid-19 now find themselves in the situation where they will be fined for continuing to teach their children at home. Some families are having to separate with a vulnerable partner not being able to stay in the family home now that children are returning to school. The crisis is not over and infections are set to rise. Shielding families are in a terrible situation with their lives literally at stake. People with common illnesses, overweight, heart, lung or cancer suffers to name a few are at risk. It is not fair that this Government penalises them for having underlying health issues and is forcing them to send their children into schools where social distancing is not possible and so called "Bubbles" are totally unmanageable and unsafe.

Families should have the right to decide for themselves when they feel it is safe for their children to return to school and not be forced into doing so by a Government that has mishandled the pandemic. Forcing families to send children back to school is morally wrong and should not be allowed to happen in a free and liberal society.
