The Game. Most of us have been haunted by it all of our lives. If you are unfamiliar with the premise of The Game, here’s the definition from Wikipedia:

”The Game is a mental game where the objective is to avoid thinking about The Game itself. Thinking about The Game constitutes a loss, which must be announced each time it occurs.”

Most of us have accepted the fact that we will have to bear the burden of “The Game” for the rest of our lives. But what if it didn’t have to be this way?

While many of us are under the impression that it is impossible to win “The Game”, this may not be true. According to Wikipedia, there exists a widely-accepted, obscure rule that states “The Game ends when the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom announces on television that ‘The Game is up.’”

Let’s give PM Boris Johnson a chance to do something right. Prime Minister Johnson must go on the BBC and announce that “The Game is up”. We can finally put this dark chapter in society behind us. Our national governments may refuse to legislate any of the overwhelming number of social reforms quite literally required for our continued survival as a species, but maybe they can do this one small thing for us. Think of the kids! Well, we may not live to have any more children, but still…
