Kim Wintle started this petition to Boris Johnson and

Today the lockdown began to "ease" in the UK and I encountered even more (as there have been numerous) people wilfully ignoring guidelines/rules put in place by Tesco supermarket to help protect the public and adhere to Covid-19 recommendations regarding social distancing.

This is a simple request for change - supermarkets should place retractable barriers to create a snaking path through their stores, which prevents individuals who have been deciding suggested rules and regulations for the good of everyone don't apply to them because their 'need' to walk a certain way down an aisle is more important (even by the way when they aren't getting items from that aisle!). Very few people are wearing face coverings, thus it is even more important to keep a flow of people one-way.

Staff and security at Tesco in Swainsthorpe have advised us they were told not to get involved because it is happening too much. This should not be being managed at a a store level, there should be a Covid-19 rule, set out by the government.

There is no point in only 80% of people following these guidelines. Selfish people are preventing our global/national return to normality.

Simple request - enforce the one-way system in stores, with retractable barriers and/or with fines for those ignoring the rules.

Let's get this virus stamped out faster than we are!
