Don’t Push Back GCSEs Because of the Coronavirus!
Don’t Push Back GCSEs Because of the Coronavirus!
Why this petition matters

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in the UK, we are being warned about schools possibly closing down for long periods of time. As a year 11 student who is just about to take GCSEs it is fundamental that we are not taken out of school due to the Coronavirus. Furthermore, if schools did close, then we would have to sit our exams later on in the year. This will only add to the stress that we are experiencing and therefore give us overall worse grades. In addition to this we would be sitting exams in the hottest time of the year, meaning we would not be able to fully concentrate on these exams that determine our future!
It is vital that we keep our education system open within this time of national worry in order to prevent young people in year 11 and year 13 developing mental heath issues from the added stress of delayed exams or time away from school, not learning the vital content we need to finish our GCSE and A-Level courses.
Please sign this petition in order to get the government to hear this and understand the pressure and stress we go under through GCSE/A-Level periods and also the added pressure and stress that would occur from delayed exams and missing out on vital school hours.
Thank You!
