When ever you go to buy clothes, whether it be in a super market or shopping mall, clothes always are labelled with a gender. For a start, it only labels two genders anyway which isn’t right. Labelling clothes with genders brings up kids to think its not right or its not manky for example for a man to wear a dress. A person should be able to wear what they like without someone saying “thats mens clothes”. If you asked a child around the age of 10, which clothes goes on who, they would associate dresses and skirts with women and trousers and “manly” looking clothing items as mens. I get there might be some adaptations for certain sexes but i feel like it shouldn’t actually matter, im a trans man and haven’t had surgery yet, i wear “mens” clothes and doesn’t make a difference. People should be able to wear clothes without getting judged for wearing the opposite sexes clothes, clothes are cloth, they don’t have gender. Im not sure how i could change this but i want to try, its not fair on people to not change this. If you disagree with this and think that someone isn’t manly for wearing a dress then go, nothing makes you girly or manly, especially clothes. Help make a difference, something needs to happen.
