For the third time England has gone into Lockdown, with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in Lockdown. People have made huge sacrifices by not seeing their loved ones, not going out unless essential and some people did not even get to say goodbye to their loved ones. 

All of these sacrifices have been made to keep the public safe and protect the NHS

But at the same time 12,500 flights came into UK from abroad during the first lockdown between March 2020 - June 2020 and countless more people came through the sea ports and Channel Tunnel potentially importing the virus.

Even today you can travel freely from Europe via ferry or channel tunnel without any restrictions what so ever. You can also fly into Britain from anywhere in the world without restriction and only advise to quarantine, which has proved useless because hardly anyone follows it. 

We the British people have had enough and now the new variant has arrived from South Africa, which would not have happened had the UK closed the Border.

We the undersigned ask the UK government to close all airports, seaports and the channel tunnel to all but emergency travel. Emergency travel for which special permission must be obtained
