Boris Johnson has released his new Lockdown for the U.K. as a result of the new strain of Covid 19 hitting a record number of over 50,000 new Covid cases everyday for the past week. 
Outlined in his new Lockdown plan he has announced the closure of ALL Primary schools, secondary schools, colleges & universities. 
But what about the Early Years settings?! 
why are we keeping our nurseries open? Early years provide a safe and nurturing environment, that is for sure. However, our babies would surely be safer at home during this scary time?! 
if it is not safe to have all of education centres open, then why is it safe to keep early years settings open?

I often think of Early Years Staff such as myself as the key workers that nobody cares about. And this really strengthens my belief in that!
