Close early years setting, it is impossible to self distance from this age group,  at times they need to sit on our knee, hold our hand, have a cuddle when they are sad or hurt themselves, staff have to change their nappies, wipe their nose. staff have no protection, wearing a mask isn’t an option, why are early years practitioners being put at risk, everyone has been asked to stay at home  for their safety yet we are being put  at risk, why are we different from schools. Is their scientific evidence that we can’t catch this virus. In order to make the children at this age feel safe, it is vital to be able to make contact with them,  I don’t feel it’s fair on the children, as they won’t be getting that contact due to the staff living in fear, especially now that children are catching this strain more than they were previously, also its 70% more contagious, it  feel like it’s inevitable that we are now going to catch this virus if we continue to stay open for  everyone. Again i ask that you overturn the decision to keep early years open as it’s just not safe, Again why are we different from  schools and teachers.
