As a mother of three daughters I have many concerns regarding their safety.

Already they have encountered situations where they have felt fearful for their safety. Being followed by men. Having men in cars and on one occasion a van shout out to them trying to get their attention. They have felt afraid.

I feel that until misogyny is considered a hate crime and changes are made to the law women will continue to encounter cat calling and inappropriate behaviour and harassment from men towards them.

We need to address misogyny from school age in young boys to educate a culture of respect around women. 
we also need to educate men that misogynistic language used around women is not acceptable.
