The Covid-19 Lockdown has worked. New infection rates are falling and the mortality rate continues to fall 

Whilst sensible precautions and some restrictions are still required, the current lockdown needs to be eased very soon 

The economic and social damage already incurred is incalculable.  Continuation of the current level of restrictions will ensure a legacy of financial, economic and social deprivation for generations to come 

It is time for the UK government to be honest and decisive and lay down a clear and transparent path to opening up the economy in the very near future. Failure to do so will replicate the failures incurred in the early stages of the pandemic, lack of clear leadership and lack of honesty in communicating with the public. 

Let those who wish to resume their lives do so, whilst honouring the memories of those who have lost theirs. We can move forward together, we can respect each others concerns and fears without destroying the very fabric of this nation.
