I don’t understand how nurseries have been excluded from the new lockdown restrictions! Because of my job role I am not able to social distance and I spend my day being coughed, sneezed, peed and pooed on. It’s not even like we are able to protect ourselves either because we aren’t able to wear PPE throughout the day.

I love my job and I wouldn’t change it for the world but it’s so upsetting how disregarded early years workers are! We aren’t invincible!☹️

These people have worked throughout caring for precious children so the parents can work. These parents were also key workers. All key workers childcare nhs key workers deserve better pay than this after holding out country together!

My kids are in school at Brent and reduced furlough coverage means the burden is falling on parents to support these businesses. Why are companies able to make profits right now and use furlough, but non profit education institutions aren't supported? This is unacceptable.

Early Years education is as vital to a child’s personal well being, socialising and learning as any of the years that follow. The workers should be considered as an equal status to furloughed teachers

The Early years funding is to support the parent not the nursery! The nursery aren’t claiming twice, the nursery are claiming for furloughed staff and are claiming the early years funding in behalf of the parent. So now the parents are out of pocket. Disgusting!!
