California and Texas are already making strides at allowing new vehicles (primarily electric) to ride in bike lanes and on university roads. Florida needs to catch up and stop requiring electric vehicles to be restricted to sidewalks. With speeds upwards of 25 mph, it is unsafe to mix these vehicles with pedestrians.
