Library Soldiers started this petition to Students and

These past few years, we can see that the Philippines Education System is very lacking. We can say that the quality of education today is poorer compared before because of the Department of Education's actions that are limiting or effecting  the education system.

From what we can see on the behaviors of students these days, they tend to go to search in the internet to find the answers to their assignments and search the references for the researches they are making. Since it is much easier to use the internet, they forgot or ignore the existence of public school libraries that may contain the answers they are looking for.

We cannot blame the students for choosing to search in the internet instead as the state of our public library is in poor condition. The libraru is lacking the variety of books that may help the students and most of the books are tattered. Since information is easilu found these days the amount of students who go to the library is dwindlinh thus the importance of libraries are decreasing too.

The Library Soldiers found this problem as serious so we plan to make ammendments and help the situation of the public libraries. We should seek help on the cooperation of publishing companies so that the libraries will be updated daily. The students can be assured that the books can be valod referenves as we will also plan to cooperate with the Department of Education to check the books if they are certified for the students. We also plan to ask the librarians and school authorities to lengthen the opening time of the libraries so that students can do their assignments, projects and other schoolworks in the library instead of their classrooms.
