Toilet - Saza ki katha
Toilet - Saza ki katha
Why this petition matters
The aamil in Marol insists on Indian toilets in every home. With aging parents with several physical challenges, it is not possible for us to convert the toilets back to Indian.
Similar problems are being faced by a lot of marol mumineen. On account of not fulfilling this unrealistic requirement, we are denied raza for various activities such as holding tazbi/darees/any other religious gathering in our own home,
The type of toilet for personal use shouldn't come within the purview of the mosque. I am a devout Muslim and have always followed all the teachings of the Holy Book to the best of my ability and understanding. We should not be victimised for making life comfortable for my dependents.
Instead of peeking into people's homes, we'd recommend that the Aamil saheb pay more attention to better functioning of the jamaat as a whole and providing better facilities and services to the lesser privileged.
The initiatives of subsidised groceries is highly appreciated. It would be great to see similar initiatives towards promoting good health and prevention of illnesses. Distribution of subsidised medicines or medical procedures could be the next step.
Another suggestion would be to conduct the prayers at a slower pace, the elderly find it difficult to keep up and are usually exhausted by the end of prayers.
We are all in favour of always giving back to the community and do so as and when required. But being denied our basic rights on the basis of such flimsy excuses is unacceptable.
