I want my daughter to have the opportunity for in-person learning. The remote option isn’t working for her at all on an educational or social level.

I’m signing because remote learning is not good for the kids! Adults can power thru this, work at home, stay home, limit social contact, etc and we’ll be fine but the kids are not ok. This is harmful to their mental health and emotional well being, they are not learning (no matter how good the teacher is). They need to get back to in person instruction. This is happening all over NJ, why not in Montclair?

I believe that for the taxes we pay in Montclair and the percentage allotted to education, the district should be able to provide in person education options.

I'm signing because I believe our kids can return to school safely. We should reduce class size and mandate masks. We should open windows and bring in fans. And where necessary, bring the kids outside. But waiting until November is silly.

Thanks Carolyn. Both of our children have IEPs and we’re concerned since the district cannot fulfill FAPE for our children via remote learning.
In the meantime, we have a Learning-Pandemic Pod/NanoSchool fully set up. We’re interested in joining with other families to share learning environments for socialization and fun for our kids. Please contact me at tanya dot chef at gmail.
