hello, my name is aji and i'm a 15 year old sophomore. i want to speak about dresscode and how it impacts me and other people, i think it's unfair how materialistic the schools are about how specific girls should dress when arriving to school, and i'm saying this because even though schools around the world state that dresscode is implied to everyone, it seems they are targeting girls, by saying they're not allowed to wear specific clothing (ripped jeans, croptops, spandex, jean shorts, etc.) because it is distracting. honestly, a piece of clothing, fabric we wear shouldn't be distracting to others because we dress on how we feel comfortable wearing not based on how we want people to react the way we dress. croptops & tanktops and all the othet clothing i listen that are apparently distracting are not a problem. it's the schools, (boe) and adults that see it in that type of way. parents, your child should be able to wear whatever makes them comfortable and wear it freely, i know some of you think it's unacceptable how they target a specific gender to follow the rules of the dresscode. it is, i say let girls be free and wear whatever they feel makes them comfortable the best. and if tanktops are distracting to other people, please imply that rule to the boys too and not just girls. i hope you all cooperate with me and see what i am coming from here. i think we should ban dresscode and focus more on getting our education and suceeding in life, rather than deciding what type of clothes girls SPECIFICALLY have to wear complied to the dresscode. please help by signing this petition to get this spreaded around any city or local around the U.S, thank you <3.
