Tonight, I watched two middle-aged men argue over who was most favorable on coal, gas and oil industry as they jockeyed for the leadership of our country. Millions of us did. They argued over many topics, repetitively. Jobs, taxes, and the deficit. Yet there was no word tonight on climate change.

I did not make this petition to argue climate change. That is for science to debate, and it does. I simply ask that the politicians of 2012, particularly Obama and Romney, to listen to what science has to say on climate change. I ask them to consider the repercussions upon us as a country and people; both if they act, or if they don’t.

And finally; I request these politicians, who ask for our vote, to be honest with us on how they plan to act.

As an underemployed college graduate of this year, I agree that jobs are important. But I’m sick of hearing these two men talk as if climate change does not exists. I don’t believe I’m alone.
