Divest the City of Vallejo from Wells Fargo

Vallejo DeFund DAPL Coalition calls on Vallejo city officials and residents to reinvest our money towards socially and environmentally conscious institutions. Vallejo Community members, groups, organizations and businesses are uniting to use our collective, civic power on a local level. We are opposed to the banking practices of our city's bank, Wells Fargo.
We will not support financial institutions that commit mortgage fraud, illegally foreclose on working-class families, discriminates against people of color or low-income consumers, finances the destruction of our shared world environment and invests in the oppression of First Nations Peoples. Our city's dollars should not be used for these unethical purposes and therefore, we demand Vallejo divests from Wells Fargo, banking instead with a local credit union.
Call Vallejo City Council today and tell them to divest Vallejo and defund the Dakota Access Pipeline!

Hi my name is ____ . I’m calling in support for the campaign to divest Vallejo from Wells Fargo. We want our city’s funds in ethical financial institutions, not banks with a history of corrupt practices including financing the Dakota Access Pipeline. Divestment is an important tool to protect people from predatory banking, and ensure that the fossil fuel industry cannot profit from the destruction of our land and water. Vallejo cannot continue to bank with Wells Fargo. I urge you to stand with Standing Rock and the people of Vallejo and divest.
