I am a student at Bedford High School and I believe that all teachers at this school need to respect all students pronouns.  This is because we are in a new generation and these things really matter.  I have friends that are constantly misgendered by teachers, even after telling them the correct pronouns, and this makes a very uncomfortable learning environment, making students not want to be at school, and adding that reason to the list. I believe that the Administration needs to realize that this is something that is very important now and that needs to be respected entirely.  If teachers at this school start to respect students pronouns and show them that they are valid, this will become a more comfortable learning environment for many students, creating a better education for students in general. This will also increase the feeling of being safe at school, this does not cause any physical harm but it does make people feel nowhere close to validated and can cause them to feel horrible about themselves and can lead to other things.  But the bottom line is, we need teachers and administration to start respecting pronouns. I get messing up once or twice followed by an apology, but it is constant here.  I hope you can help me and other students here feel more supported and valid at this school-Maya (she/they)
