Save Tindal Park

This petition had 631 supporters

For over 50 years, Tindal Park has given the people of Greenville a chance to enjoy recreation, community and green space. We are at risk of losing this park to high-end real estate development. The Greenville County School District holds the deed to the park, and plans to sell it. We appreciate all the years of service that the School District Board of Trustees have served, but they made this decision without any input from the community the really owns the park – We the People, We the Taxpayers. It is the taxpayers of Greenville who own the land, and we should have a voice.

A compromise can be made that would allow some residential development of the 2.8 acre Tindal Park and yet retain some park land and the tennis courts.

To the Board of Trustees of the School District of Greenville County: Do not sell this park without hearing our voice. Meet with us to discuss a future for Tindal Park that is fair to the stakeholders of Tindal Park and Greenville. Protect our community green space for future generations. Save Tindal Park from complete destruction and compromise with the community.
