IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE –
Ever since her questionable appointment in 2015, our prestigious school has been on an uncontrollable downward spiral from one of the best and highly-reputed grammar schools in London, to one with disgraceful levels of debt, debased standards of teaching and achievement, and a shocking lack of pastoral care.
Some of the many problems include:
· Chronic financial problems have led to extortionate cost increases for uniforms, school dinners, trips, and other essential school resources, which in the past have been much more affordable. This is a clear example of Rebecca Drysdale brazenly squeezing the pockets of hard-working families to cover her tracks for several poor budgetary decisions.
· Lack of support for SEN (Special Needs Students) has led to many hard-working pupils falling behind simply due to increased cutbacks to resources and staff. In other words, less staff and less time for the pupils who need it most. These students are being senselessly deprived of an equal education.
· Growing pressures on teachers, who have not only had to deal with increased class sizes and a new curriculum, but are being overworked every day of the week with no respite, with many teachers reporting 60+ hours a week. This disgraceful forced labour has come as a result of poor staff appointments and disgracefully low levels of resources and money allocated to subject departments. Unfortunately, it comes as no surprise that these harsh conditions have led to mental and physical health issues for many previous and present staff members, who are clear victims of this atrocious ordeal.
· No support for students
With 8 out of 10 students now reporting that confiding in staff about personal issues would only make the issue worse truly exemplifies the shocking and decadent standards of current pastoral care under the Drysdale administration. Students are now more stressed than ever, and with fewer breaks and reported bullying and other misdemeanours going unpunished, it comes as no surprise that a student attempted to take his own life on school grounds due to the unchecked levels of stress exerted upon him from senior staff.
· Recent shameful leaks of confidential information including salaries of all staff epitomises the complete lack of care shown by senior staff for keeping confidential information safe and secure. This disgraceful situation has shattered the once firm trust held between pupils, teachers and parents. As usual, there has been no responsibility taken by senior staff for these ignominious events, and a subsequent witch hunt to find a perpetrator is well underway to ensure they will not be held accountable for what is clearly a self-inflicted situation.
YOUR EDUCATION IS AT RISK. REBECCA DRYSDALE IS RESPONSIBLE.
WE MUST ACT NOW.
In the past, senior staff have silenced the voices of pupils and parents. But not anymore. The next scheduled school governors meeting is on Thursday 1st February 2018. We must make this petition of no confidence the top of their agenda to ensure Rebecca Drysdale will be finally removed as headteacher of our school.
Please note, if you are unconformable with using your real name and email, please feel free to use an alias. Although this petition is both legal and well within school regulations, Rebecca Drysdale may feel that any whistle-blowing on her disintegrating administration may damage whatever little reputation she has left. This could make her could act unlawfully and petulantly against students and staff who have courageously stepped forward for defending their entitled right to top-quality education and pastoral care.
YOUR EDUCATION COMES FIRST. REBECCA DRYSDALE IS JEOPARDISING THIS. NOT ANYMORE.
