To allow the Senior Class the ability to wear black polo shirts
This petition made change with 501 supporters!
Frederick Douglass High School Students has been forced to wear the unpopular burgundy polo shirt, without any other option. The Class of 2016 student body officers had brought their concerns to Administration, with the idea to add on the option for Seniors to wear a black polo shirt. The officers have proposed this, with a petition signed by majority of the 2016 student body, support from the PTSA, and several teachers. Given a response that there wasn't going to be any changes to the uniform policy, we've decided to take the petition on to a larger scale, looking on gaining support from our community to eventually present to the Board of Education. Once we gain a respectable amount of signatures, we plan to assemble a meeting with the Board of Education, alongside a group of parents from our Eagle family. This change will bring joy to the Class of 2016 student body, bringing pride and enthusiasm to be a senior, as this has been a battle we've been fighting for a long time. Thank you for being a part of our movement.
