The dress code is not equal between genders in Newport News public schools.  The dress code DOES target females. It is not there for a « girls protection ». It is there to keep boys from being distracted in school. It implies that a females education is less important than a males. Males should be expected to control their behaviors and their actions regardless of what a female is wearing. The dress code is a way to keep females under control and we have had enough. Please sign the petition saying we need equality in the Newport News public schools dress code. What is good for males is equally good for females and vise versa.
