Keep Lyndoch living – a community action group is seeking to defer the start of the construction of Lyndoch Living’s $22m Primary Health Care Centre.  This petition has been launched to garner community support for Lyndoch’s Board to act immediately to defer the construction and for the intervention from the Victorian government until an independent review is completed.

Keep Lyndoch living was formed in the wake of a recent report that Lyndoch’s former acting Chief Finance Officer did not support the construction of the new centre as currently proposed. Members of the group studied publicly available information and concluded that the $22 million centre is most unlikely to be financially viable. The group sought an opportunity for the Lyndoch Board to provide information about its decision to build the centre and in doing so, allay the concerns of the community. No response was received from the Board which was very disappointing given Lyndoch’s long history and connection to community.

It is important that the voice of the community that has proudly built and supported this organisation for over 70 years is listened to by the Lyndoch Board and the Victorian government. Further information can be accessed from the “Keep Lyndoch living”’ Facebook page
