Scott Dinehart is a member of the AAD board of directors who has recently unveiled a creation which he calls the America Board of Dermatology Physicians Assistants. Signees believe that this organization personally enriches Dr. Dinehart and creates confusion among the public between physicians with the American Board of Dermatology certification (which identifies physicians who have completed medical school, residency, and passed a board examination) and physicians assistants (who complete a 125 question exam.) The circumstances represent a disqualifying conflict of interest for any member of the AAD board of directors. The signers of this petition are expressing their belief that Dr. Dinehart should be removed from the AAD board of directors immediately.
