Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, let's be smart and reduce face-to-face contact by closing the physical campus of BMCC. Every day the school waits, the likelihood for community spread is greater -- especially for students, faculty, and staff who travel via public transportation.
The school has the available technology -- Blackboard -- to have online classes!
BMCC should be proactive and enact preventative measures NOW. The school should not be passive and wait for the CDC, governor, or mayor's direction.
If and when the first BMCC student gets infected, who will be held responsible? This is a public health emergency. DO THE RIGHT THING AND ACT NOW!
