The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon is one of the most popular fantasy series of our generation. The series tackles important topics of mental health and feeling a sense of belonging. The series has allowed many young people to have access to a fantasy world that would have otherwise been unavailable. 

Currently, the third book in the series is only available in the second book cover design, due to the change in cover design half way through the series. However, the fourth book was published in the original design making the third book The Song Rising the only book that is currently unavailable in the original cover design. 

After speaking with many people, I have been asked why this matters. It matters because a large portion of the book community, myself included, are less interested in completing the series due to the mismatched look of the covers. Not only does this limit the amount of people from continuing the series, but also people starting the series at all. To people outside the book community, this may not appear to be an issue that needs to be resolved, but I can assure you that the Bone Season as a book series would grow if the continuity of the covers was rectified. 

So I am asking people of the book community, and also the wider community to sign this petition to show Bloomsbury and Samantha Shannon that there would be customers for the release of the book. This petition growing would demonstrate that releasing The Song Rising in the original purple hardback cover would be worth their while.
